What is Fiesta Filipino 2015?

Welcome to the first ever Filipino festival in Calgary and Alberta!

This historic event will take place on September 5, 2015 from 9:00 AM to 9:00 PM atOlympic Plaza, in the heart of downtown Calgary. The festival will celebrate the beautifully unique and diverse heritage, history and culture of the Philippines and at the same time empower and unite the Filipino diaspora in our province.  Fiesta Filipino 2015 is a family oriented event that will showcase the finest of Philippine arts, cuisine and entertainment. We anticipate that this free event will be attended by 10,000 people. They will come not only from the city’s large and growing Filipino community but from the many Calgarians who have been touched by the community’s renowned friendliness.

The Filipino community is the fastest growing ethnic group in Alberta and the third largest immigrant group in Canada and Alberta. In 2014, more than 65,000 individuals of Filipino descent live in Calgary alone.

How many people are expected to attend?​

Weather permitting, approximately 10,000 people are expected to come to the event.
