A look into the Transgender community in the Philippines
Los Angeles, CA June 27, 2015 – On Saturday, June 27, award-winning documentary Shunned will be screening at the AT&T center from 7:15-9:15 pm. Shunned is showing for the event Newfilmmakers Los Angeles. Check out http://www.newfilmmakersla.com for more details on the film festival.
Tickets are $5 for presale and $7 at the door.

After the viewing of Shunned, a Q&A will follow and will include the Director/Producer, Janice Villarosa, and the Director of Photography, Mark Celestino. Also in attendance are composer Jeffrey R. Gund and musician S.O.U.L.-O.

About the movie
A documentary about the trauma and struggles faced by a group of Trans women in the Philippines as they compete in a pageant and find strength in their convictions and one other.
