About us:

The word malaya means “free” or “freedom” in the Filipino Language. Emil Velasquez, born and raised in the Philippines, thought it would be perfect to name a clinic after the word malaya because of his vision: to help as many people as possible live a disease free life.

At Malaya Acupuncture & Wellness Center, our goal is to help guide our patients to achieve optimal wellness via the use of Acupuncture, Chinese Herbal Medicine and Dietary advices. Our clinic is not a “band aid” clinic. This means that we are not interested in only treating the symptom of a disease. We want to fully evaluate a patient so that we can get to the “root” of the problem. By fixing the root cause of a disease, the normal function of the body is regained, and a person can function optimally.
