Everfest’s Take
Held annually in San Diego’s Balboa Park, the Philippine Cultural Arts Festival is a two-day event that celebrates Filipino culture. It is a family-friendly event designed to instill cultural pride in younger generations through fun and engaging events. Interactive workshops are held each day offeringTagalog language lessons, Bandurria instruction and martial arts demonstrations. Attendees can also learn the national dance of the Philippines, Tinikling. Live performances are held throughout the festival, and traditional foods like taho, kwek-kwek, buko and turon are available for purchase.
