The Pilipino Workers Center and Larry Itliong Day Committee proudly present, “Siklab!” Larry Itliong Day 2018 – a five-hour celebration on Saturday, November 17 of music, art, education and food highlighting the life and legacy of Filipino farm worker and labor rights movement leader, Larry Itliong. Set at the heart of Historic Filipinotown, this FREE event will take place at Unidad Park (1644 Beverly Blvd, Los Angeles, CA 90026) from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. With this year’s theme, “Siklab,” the organizations aim to entertain Filipinos and Filipino-Americans about the Filipino culture, the history of the Filipino labor movement in the U.S. and its impact on workers today. There will be activities such as musical performances from local artists, art workshops, a scavenger hunts, food booths, a bazaar, and much more.
