DRAGONFEST!!! It’s the most popular martial arts and Asian cultural expo in the world! It is the martial arts version of San Diego’s ComicCon. This is a two-day event and it’s a fun place to see movie stars from Big Trouble in Little China, Best of the Best, the Karate Kid, Avator: The Last Airbender and so many more. Filled with vendor booths, martial arts celebrities, toys, products and so much more. Dragonfest is also a charity event and 100 percent of all funds collected goes to support the Martial Arts History Museum in Burbank. A non-profit 501(c)(3) organization. Day 1, Aug. 25: The Dragonfest Expo. It is filled with nearly 150 vendor booths, stars such as Michael Jai White, Robin Shou, Steve Oedekerk, Joe Mantegna, Chuck Lidell and martial arts celebrities such as Cynthia Rothrock, Don Wilson, Benny Urquidez and more. From martial arts and Asian products, toys, souvenirs to anime artists, movie production companies, books, clothing, martial arts weapons, Bruce Lee fun items, cosplay and so much more. All day you will enjoy cultural performances such as hula dancing, Chinese lion dancing, Japanese taiko, Korean dancing, Filipino stick dancing, martial arts demonstrations, musical performances and more.
Time is 10 am to 5 pm. Children are FREE to the Expo.
Day 2, Aug. 26: The Dragonfest Workout/Seminars. You will enjoy a day of workout seminars from the biggest martial arts icons in the world. Classes with Benny “the jet” Urquidez, Don “the dragon” Wilson, Cynthia Rothrock, Art Camacho, Felix Roiles, Michelle Manu and school marketing with Fariborz Azhakh and more to be announced.
CLASSES: There will be 10 classes total. Two classes will be going on at the same time. The workout day cost is $30 for the full day (Aug. 26) for all the classes. So this allows you to choose 5 workouts to attend.
Time is 9 am to 2 pm. Adults only. Note: This day is full of workouts, there is NO EXPO on this date.
What’s the refund policy?
This is a charity event so there are no refunds.
Are there ID or minimum age requirements to enter the event?
No, there are not. There is a special rate just for the youth.
What are my transportation/parking options for getting to and from the event?
Parking is free.
